Three More Years….

One more year flipped from the calendar on the wall,
Gaining knowledge and moving ahead from the fall

How quick the years went with fun,
Three more years and then it’s done,
The chapters closing one by one.

Seven years passed when I was in fear
Just three more left with full of cheer

Three more years of new class teachers
Then have to be a researcher
For the bright new future

Three more sports events, three annual functions
Three more years of teacher’s instructions.

The books are getting almost read
Now it’s time to go to bed.

Three more years for me and you
Its not too long, just a few…

In remembrance of an old friendship

We ran through the school ground
Beneath the sun
We talked, we laughed
And had much fun

Her face, her voice
I still recall
The kind that echoes
Through it all

Now time has flown
Six years have passed,
Since I saw her face
The last

I still remember
You came at my home
Now I recall our memories
All alone

It’s been so many days,
Yet feels like yesterday
Since all those years
I’ve been away

I search through photos,
Frames and time
For traces of her laugh,
Her rhyme

I wonder if she too
Feels the same
Or if I’ve faded
Like a name

Back then the world felt
Small and kind
With dreams we drew
And plans we’d find

Now silence fills the
Space once known-
The halls of childhood
Overgrown

Still, in my heart
She has a place
No time can ever
Quite erase

Though roads diverged
And we both roamed
A part of me will call you home
