Empowering Young Minds for a Drug-Free Future: Saraswati Vidyalaya Leads the way in Thane.
In response to the visionary call of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who launched the "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan" on 2 August 2026 as a landmark 100-week nationwide campaign against substance abuse, Saraswati Vidyalaya, Ghodbunder Road, Thane, proudly emerged as the first school in Thane to organise and successfully conduct this significant awareness programme.
The programme commenced on 6 August 2026 at 7:30 a.m. in the school's Stilt Area and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff members. The awareness session was conducted by BK Sister Bhakti from the Brahma Kumaris Centre, Ghodbunder Road, Thane (W). Through an inspiring and thought-provoking address, she enlightened students about the harmful effects of addiction and motivated them to embrace a disciplined, healthy, value-based, and addiction-free lifestyle. The session also included the National Addiction-Free Pledge, reaffirming the commitment of the participants to contribute towards building a stronger and healthier nation.
The campaign was organised under the 10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign by the Medical Wing of the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation, represented by the Brahma Kumaris. In recognition of the successful conduct of the programme and the wholehearted participation of the institution, Saraswati Vidyalaya was awarded the Programme Participation and Completion Certificate, acknowledging the school's valuable contribution to the national mission of creating an Addiction-Free, Healthy, and Viksit Bharat.
