INTERACT CLUB INSTALLATION CEREMONY
The date was 5th August 2023. The venue of the installation ceremony was Saraswati Vidyalaya, GB Road. Everyone was very enthusiastic and excited to carry out the installation ceremony of the Interact Club of Rotary in our school. But before I brief you about the proceedings of the ceremony, let me give you some information about the Interact Club.
Interact Club is a branch of Rotary Youth Programmes that invites the students between the age group of 12 to 18 to give them the opportunity to develop leadership skills while also focusing on the Rotary motto of “Service-Above-Self”.
The programme in the school commenced with the entry of the chief guests and dignitaries along with our honorable school Principal Mrs. and Coordinators. The Compere’s welcomed everyone and the outgoing President Master Janav Pedhamkar rang the gong and called the meeting to order which was followed by our National Anthem. Our Principal briefed us about the history and the working of the esteemed Rotary Club. The Outgoing President gave a report of all the social activities done by our school for educating the young students and also contributing towards saving the environment through projects like Managing Plastic Waste, Tree Plantation, etc. Then Outgoing President Master Janav Pedhamkar exchanged the collars with the new Incoming President Miss Tanvi Patil and handed over the Badge of President.
The Incoming President Miss Tanvi Patil addressed the gathering and announced the activities planned out for the rest of the year. This was followed by the announcement of the new members of the Interact Club and the badge distribution by the new president. The chief guest was introduced by Ms. Vishwa Parsiya and the students of class 8 were felicitated by the dignitaries.
The cultural program progressed with a beautiful song and students performed a fusion dance which was very much appreciated by the audience. The Chief Guest expressed his views on the event and also briefed us about the Interact Club. The beautiful program was concluded by the Vote of Thanks.
The Incoming President Miss Tanvi Patil rang the gong and ended the meeting.
