The Inter House Quiz Contest for Jr. House of Saraswati Vidyalaya was held in the school premises for the year 2026-27 on 17th July 2026.
The competition was successfully hosted by the enthusiastic students from the Ganga House. The students from all four houses; Ganga, Godavari, Kaveri and Yamuna passionately participated in the competition which filled the arena with energy.
The program began with the warm welcome of dignitaries followed with the captivating singing the school song by Ganga House choir group.
As a token of gratitude to the co-ordinators Mrs. Shweta Singh and Mrs. Jagjit Bumrah and the judge Mr. Deepak Mohite were presented handmade gifts by the students of Ganga House.
The Quiz Masters for the event were Shaury Singh (XII – Science) and Asmi Bartakke (XII- commerce) who introduced the exciting quiz rounds and the criteria to the participants.
The quiz competition was conducted in 4 rounds where questions based on General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Famous Personalities were asked.
1. Round I & II were introductory rounds, where all 4 houses participated energetically. These rounds encouraged students to explore topics beyond the textbook and testing their General Knowledge.
2. Round III was with negative marking and elimination round. This round made the competition more rigorous. After this round one team was eliminated and remaining three teams proceeded to 4th round.
3. Round IV was a rapid-fire round which filled the competition with much more excitement.
After first two rounds of competition Excellentia Badges were distributed to laborious students for showcasing their hard work and dedication towards studies.
The audience remained throughout cheering for their teams. Participants from each house put in their best effort showing their intellect and presence of mind. The event was conducted smoothly with unbiased judgement.
After the competition got over dignitaries and judge for the competition gave their valuable opinions on performance of the students and overall competition.
The event concluded with the declaration of result where Kaveri House stood first, Ganga House stood in the 2nd position and Godavari House stood 3rd.
The honourable Principal Mrs. Renuka Mehta lauded the performance of the students and encouraged the participants to keep up the spirit to win more accolades for the house.
This Quiz Competition helped students to build adaptability, focus and ability perform under stress teaching skills valuable in academics, careers and life. In short Quiz Competition are not just about winning, they are about learning, growing and enjoying process of discovering.
