Report on Patriotic Group Singing Competition

Date: 14th August 2025

A Patriotic Group Singing Competition was organised by Ganga House on 13th August 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the SVPT Saraswati Vidyalaya Ghodbunder road Thane west. The event aimed to instil a sense of pride, love, and respect for our motherland while encouraging teamwork and musical expression among students.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by the introduction of the esteemed School Co-ordinator Mrs Yosheema Ramkumar, who graced the occasion with her presence. In her brief address, she emphasised the importance of patriotic music in keeping the spirit of unity alive and commended the efforts of all the houses for their dedication and preparation.

Four houses participated with great enthusiasm: Kaveri House, Ganga House, Yamuna House, and Godavari House. Each group brought forth unique musical arrangements, perfect synchronisation, and heartfelt emotions that resonated with the audience. The stage was adorned with tricolour decorations, and the hall reverberated with the powerful tunes of patriotism.

The judging panel evaluated the performances based on melody, coordination, clarity of lyrics, stage presence, and overall impact. The competition was intense, and every house left an indelible mark on the audience. After much deliberation by the judges, the results were declared. Godavari house secured the first position with their powerful and harmonious performance. Yamuna house claimed the second position, impressing the audience with their energetic rendition, while Kaveri house stood third, winning hearts with their melodious presentation.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the Co-ordinator, judges, teachers, and participants, followed by a resounding chorus of patriotic cheers from the students. The competition not only celebrated the cultural richness of our nation but also strengthened the bonds of friendship and unity among the houses.
