In SVPT Saraswati Vidyalaya First Aid workshop was conducted for the teachers.
Ms. Madhuri Shinde learning facilitator and founder of the forest school organized a workshop
based on employee’s engagement, occupational safety, health and wellness.
Every job is not dangerous, but every employer is responsible for the safety of their employees
at work place. First aid training for employees is vital to ensure proactive safety measure is in
place of every organization. The medical emergency can occur at any time and at any place. In
such a situation knowledge of First Aid may come to our rescue.
The first aid workshop was conducted for the teachers on 30 th June, 2023.
The workshop was conducted using experiential learning techniques with active participation of
teachers.
The workshop had showcased live demonstration with Power Point presentation and activities in
a creative way to generate awareness and enthusiasm.
The topic covered was why is first aid important? It included important elements in first aid box,
managing risk before giving first aid to any causalities using the DRABC method, treating and
managing burns, handling cuts, bruises, nose bleeds etc., treating chokes and seizers, handling
fractures and bandages, they also gave knowledge about symptoms of heart attack and cardiac
arrest and first aid given that time, how and when to give CPR, how to make DIY stretchers etc.
The participants liked the workshop and appreciated Ms. Madhuri Shinde for conducting the
session.
