One of the most impactful initiatives we are supporting through the Eco Club is Mission LiFE, launched by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji. As part of the environmental awareness initiative and to honor the role of mothers in nurturing life, Saraswati Vidyalaya, G.B. Road, Thane, organized a special tree plantation drive under the campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" on 9th July 2025.
The most emotional and heartfelt initiative is the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. This activity encourages each of us to plant a tree and dedicate it to our mothers – as a token of love, respect, and gratitude. Just as our mothers nurture us, these trees will nurture the Earth. It is a beautiful way to blend environmental action with personal emotion. It teaches us not only to grow trees, but also to grow values like love, care, and sustainability.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students along with their mothers. The highlight of the program was the planting of trees by students in the name of their mothers.The plantation activity took place within the school campus, where students, guided by their teachers and school staff, planted a variety of saplings. This activity not only promoted environmental conservation but also strengthened the emotional bond between children and their mothers, creating a memorable experience for all involved and also received a certificate.
The school management ,respectful Principal Madam Mrs.Renuka Mehta our energetic coordinators Mr.Vaibhav Satam and Mrs. Yosheema Ramkumar and incharge teachers Mrs.Neha Malhotra nd Mrs.Prapti Gore supported and encouraged students and parents to take responsibility for nurturing the saplings they planted by providing all the requirement for the plantation drive. It was a big success.
