Declamation competition provides the necessary impetus and platform to inculcate cognitive skills, critical thinking and problem solving through creative expression, It fosters social development through collaboration, communication and teamwork. Student’s experience deeper conceptual understanding and longer retention of information related to different culture.
Declamation competition on theme of art integration was held at SVPT’s Saraswati Vidyalaya on 25 th August 2025. Where students spoken confidently about different states of India and their culture by presenting their view. The event started with greetings and felicitation of the dignitaries. Then the students of grade VIII and IX were able to present given state very well.In this competition, the four houses namely Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari and Kaveri with four participants in each team give tough battle to each other. Rules and regulations of the competition were explained at the beginning.
India’s diversity is characterized by its different states each with unique cultures, languages, cuisines, and histories reflecting the country’s immense variety of people religions and customsIt was interesting competition where students had come in different costumes to showcase “unity in diversity” which is evident in the varying landscapes, languages like Hindi, Marathi and Tamil, varied religious practices, distinct clothing styles, and regional culinary specialties, all contributing to rich multifaceted national identity. This engaged the students and tested student’s cultural and historical knowledge. Each participant was given 4 minutes to present given states. There was the collision of ideas the emergence of eloquence and the battle of intellects. Our talented competitors had put their skills to the ultimate test. It was an interactive activity that aimed at improving their speaking skill and development of deeper knowledge about different culture and states. Our talented educators, Mrs.Shweta Singh and Mrs. Rupali Patil were the judge and also gave valuable guidance to students on Declamation Competition. It helps in development of observation skills, visual thinking, team work, confidence and analyzing skills.
At the end the event ended and the judges appreciated the students for their efforts and congratulated the winners. The event was a success and had a positive impact on every member of the event.
