Election is a fundamental part of any democratic system. It serves several essential purposes in ensuring that a government is representative, accountable and responsive to the people similar to this, we at Saraswati Vidyalaya, G. B. Road give an opportunity to the future citizens of our country. The college elections teach students the values of democracy, such as voting, representation and majority rule.
The annual college elections at Saraswati Vidyalaya were held on 22nd September 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from the students. The election was conducted for the posts of Chairman, Cultural Secretary, Gymkhana Secretary, Ladies Representative and Class Representative. These positions play a crucial role in representing the student’s body and organizing various cultural and sports-related events throughout the academic year. The nomination process began on 15th September and continued till 20th September. 3 candidates contested for each post of Chairman, Cultural Secretary and Gymkhana Secretary. Similar to politicians, all candidates actively campaigned from 15th to 20th September 2025. Campaigning was done through classroom visits, where candidates presented their plans and promises. The campaigning remained peaceful and respectful, reflecting the mature and responsible attitude of the students.
The voting was conducted on 22nd September 2025 in the school premises through online platform. The election committee, under the supervision of the honorable Principal Mrs. Renuka Mehta and Coordinators Mr. Vaibhav Satam, Mrs. Yosheema Ramkumar and senior faculty members, ensured a free and fair election process. The counting of votes took place immediately after the polling closed, and the results were announced on 23 rd September2025 by Principal Ma’am. Elected candidates for each post are as follows:
