quality education and grow up as empowered individuals,”
A free Dental Eye Check-up was organized on 25 th and 26 th September 2023 in
Svpt’s Saraswati Vidyalaya, GB road, Thane in collaboration with Dr.Karve’s Dentech
and Wavikar Eye Institute for Primary and Secondary school children. The objective of
this event was to spread awareness on eye disorders, their early detection, to detect
refractive errors , eye aliments and eating patterns and food choices which can lead to
tooth decay among school children.
The children were tested and oriented by the doctors on ‘How to protect teeth and eyes’
.
They also emphasized and guided the students not to play too much of video and
computer games.
Around 2000 children were screened on the day and were adviced follow up treatment
as per the requirement.
