Endowed with a free and strong spirit and an empowering personality, the record-
breaker, 9-year-old, Miss Grihitha Vichare becomes the youngest female child from
India by hoisting the Tricolour Flag of India on Mount Kilimanjaro in South Africa on
15th August 2023, India's Independence Day
Kilimanjaro is not only Africa’s tallest peak, but also the world’s tallest free standing
mountain. The summit, named Uhuru Point, is 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea
level. Mount Kilimanjaro lies just 205 miles from the equator, in the country of
Tanzania.
The flag off ceremony for Grihitha’s South Africa Expedition was done by The Chief
Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Eknath Shinde on 5th Aug 23, who wished and blessed
her for this Expedition.
So far Grihitha has touched a great number of hearts with greater track records.
Braving chilly winds, battling sub-zero temperatures, and dwindling oxygen levels
reached its target. Her adventure is being appreciated everywhere. She has
successfully achieved this goal with the blessing from her parents and all her well-
wishers.
